Adidas + Parley for the Oceans

Eco-tendencies for +adidas, the brand in partnership with +Parley for the Oceans (a New York based nonprofit group), has presented the first pair of running shoes made of recycled plastic bottles fished out from the ocean (oh humans... and garbage). These new sneakers feature the sole made with sustainable material and the upper part was made of yarns sewed from the recycled deep sea plastic.

Cyrill Gutsch, founder of Parley for the Oceans mentioned: “At Parley for the Oceans, we want to establish the oceans as a fundamental part of the debate around climate change. Our objective is to boost public awareness and to inspire new collaborations that can contribute to protecting and preserving the oceans,” during the presentation of the recycled sneakers in New York at the United Nation General Assembly Hall.

Eco-tendency is a real strong movement around the world with many marks, companies and social associations, I’m sure that we will see more partnerships and products like this (thanks God).
